Licence agreement

Version 1.0 - October 2026

This agreement is between you (the "User") and FormWorks Designs, of Ontario,
Canada (the "Licensor"). By installing or using A1VP ("the Software"), you agree to these terms. If you
do not agree, do not install it, and request a refund under the Refund Policy.

1. LICENCE, NOT A SALE
The Software is licensed, not sold. When you pay for it, the Licensor grants you a personal,
non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use the Software on computers you own
or control, for personal and commercial music production.

2. WHAT YOU MAY DO
   - Activate the Software on one (1) computer per licence key. All host applications on that computer
are covered. If you replace the computer or reinstall Windows, contact support to move the licence.
   - Use it to make, mix, release and sell music, audio and video. Audio you create with the Software
is yours. No royalties are owed and no credit is required.
   - Make backup copies of the installer for your own use.
   - Buy a copy as a gift. You may give the download and an unused, not-yet-activated licence key to
the person you are gifting it to. That person becomes the licensee and these terms apply to them.
Once a key has been activated it cannot be given to someone else.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
   - Activate one licence key on more than one computer, or bypass, disable or tamper with the activation.
   - Share, resell, rent, lend or sublicense the Software, its installer or your licence key, or give them
away other than as a gift under section 2.
   - Upload it to file-sharing sites, torrents or "free plugin" sites.
   - Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the Software, except where the law expressly allows it or where
a third-party licence listed in LICENSES.txt gives you that right for that component.
   - Remove or change any copyright, trademark or licence notices.

4. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
The Software includes third-party components licensed under their own terms (MIT, public domain and the
SIL Open Font License), listed with their full texts in LICENSES.txt. Those terms apply to those
components. VST is a registered trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH.

5. OWNERSHIP
The Licensor (and the third-party licensors, for their components) keeps all rights, title and interest
in the Software, including all updates. Factory presets are part of the Software. Presets you create
   are yours.

6. UPDATES
Bug-fix updates to version 1 are free to licence holders while the Licensor offers them. Major new
versions may be sold separately or offered as a paid upgrade.

6a. ACTIVATION AND PRIVACY
Activation sends your licence key and the product identifier to the store's licence server (Lemon Squeezy) once,
and again about every 14 days in the background, to confirm the key is valid and not refunded. No audio,
files or other personal information are sent (the server sees your internet address, as with any
connection). A computer identifier is stored only on your computer, as a
one-way hash inside the activation file. Without internet the Software keeps working once activated.

7. NO WARRANTY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any
kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and
non-infringement. You are responsible for checking that the Software works with your system before
relying on it; a free demo or the refund window is provided for this. Always keep backups of your
   projects.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special
or consequential damages (including lost data, lost projects, lost profits or hardware damage), and the
Licensor's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. Nothing in
this agreement limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by contract.

9. TERMINATION
This licence ends automatically if you break it. You must then delete all copies of the Software.

10. GOVERNING LAW
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that
   apply there.
